Tourist Bus & Minibus Entry Fees in Positano (2026)
Last verified: 10 Aug 2026 · Source: Comune di Positano — ZTL Positano (official portal)
ZTL pass, Euro 6 — vehicles longer than 7.70 m, wider than 2.20 m or over 3.5 tonnes are permanently banned
Positano's ZTL covers Via Pasitea, Piazza dei Mulini and Via Cristoforo Colombo. A Euro 6 vehicle pays €60 per access. The fee is the easy part — the real constraint is size: vehicles longer than 7.70 m, wider than 2.20 m or over 3.5 tonnes are permanently banned, and a paid pass does not change that. Most 19–22-seat minibuses exceed 7.70 m, so the vehicle has to be chosen for Positano specifically.
Rome → Naples → Positano → Amalfi

Official ZTL rules (Comune di Positano)

| Maximum length | 7.70 m — permanent ban above |

| Groups sleeping inside the ZTL | Free pass for the stay, requested in writing by the hotel from the Municipal Police |
When you send us an itinerary with Positano, the quote tells you which of the two ways we will handle it: a vehicle within the 7.70 m limit driving into the ZTL with the €60 pass, or a drop-off and pick-up outside the ZTL with the group walking down. Both are priced — the difference is comfort, not surprise. Combined with Amalfi, each town needs its own pass on the same day.
City fees are included automatically in every SprinterHire quote. Paste your itinerary and get the full tour price — including every city fee, permit and the driver's costs — by email in minutes.

How much is the Positano ZTL pass for a minibus?
€60 for a Euro 6 vehicle — one pass authorises one access into the ZTL (Via Pasitea, Piazza dei Mulini, Via Cristoforo Colombo).
Can any minibus enter Positano?
No. There is a permanent access ban for vehicles longer than 7.70 m, wider than 2.20 m or heavier than 3.5 tonnes — a paid pass does not override it. We assign a vehicle that meets the limit or plan the stop as a drop-off outside the ZTL.
Is the pass free for hotel guests?
A group staying in a hotel inside the ZTL can receive a free pass for the whole stay, but the hotel has to request it in writing from the Municipal Police before arrival.
