The hotel (H) permit requires the group to sleep in the Comune di Firenze (not necessarily inside the ZTL) and covers arrival until 19:00 of the day after the last night; the base fee covers two calendar days. Permits should be bought at least 3 days ahead through the SAS portal. Until 31 Aug 2026 the old tariff (€235 base / €70 night) still applied. Parking permit P (T2 Guidoni park-and-ride) costs €120/day.

What the band difference means on a real tour

A two-night Florence stay for a Euro 6 vehicle under 8 m: €285 + €85 = €370. The same stay over 8 m: €385 + €110 = €495. The under-8 m band saves €125 on one Florence visit alone — one of the clearest cases for touring Italy in a Sprinter.

FAQ

How much does a bus permit cost in Florence?

From 1 Sep 2026, Euro 6 under 8 m: €285 base (covers 2 days) + €85 per additional night. Over 8 m: €385 + €110.

No — anywhere in the Comune di Firenze qualifies for the H permit. The permit then covers until 19:00 of the day after the last night.
